Bring a gray card and learn how to read zebras and waveforms (I am assuming the R6 has zebras and waveforms). It can be a bit harder to nail your exposure and white balance when shooting in CLOG. While I think that DaVinci Resolve would be GREAT for working with C LOG, since you mentioned you are new to video, maybe CLOG is not right for YOU? (There is a version 17 but it is in Beta release, so there are a few bugs that need to be worked out.) I would suggest trying DaVinci Resolve 16 which is the current STABLE release. you could START out with some of the free ones. While I am just starting with video I am mainly interested in the ones that support C-Log and have a decent feature set.
